Claimed Territories

E-Proceedings of the New Generation

Why attempt a new type of conference proceedings?

All of us who attend conferences are eager to share our knowledge with others. This principle of exchanging experiences and new knowledge is particularly important in the dynamically developing visual fields, which includes art education.

But is a classic proceedings the right way how to communicate in art education? How many people will be reached by a pdf or brochure hidden in a web archive or in an institution's library? Isn't the internet and open access a better and direct way to the recipient?

We are convinced that the creative use of digital tools and resources is a new way not only to share experiences, but also to scientific research in the humanities and arts. That's why we decided to create two types of "outputs" from our conference. The first is this "
e-proceedings" and the second is a monograph.

About our Claimed Territories | E-Proceedings of the New Generation

Our "e-proceedings" is a live platform for sharing content that conference participants want to share publicly with the entire community. Most participants will probably be interested in posting here their abstracts, pdf presentations, short text documents about their projects, photos from their practice or links to their projects, websites or networks. Let's gather different resources here and become one of the relevant nodes in the world network of art education!

For those interested in sharing materials:

Submission of all your materials is ongoing. However, our team needs time to be able to prepare this platform, so we recommend that you send the materials as soon as possible, ideally before the conference. Materials can be sent even after it has ended, for example in response to a debate during a live meeting.

About a monograph

The second output of our congress , which will be more "rigid", will be a professional publication, monograph. We plan to prepare this output, typical of scientific communication, according to high quality standards, in order to show that our field can withstand the high demands placed on scientific fields. We will accept only scientific reports for the monograph, i.e. research studies of the usual types: theoretical research, empirical research and didactic studies (case studies) with an analysis of a teaching situation. More information including a template will be posted soon.

Submission of full papers for a monograph: 1 Aug – 30 Sept, 2025
